Dear Bret, I feel that not only will our kids, and their kids will loose out for the future, but they will never know the America we knew growing up. I always felt that America would never change. It's changed and is changing everyday..thats not supposed to happern. Obama and his crew are scareing me. God help us.
Dear Bret, thank you for not pokeing fun at Charles's crew neck attire. He looked great and his hair style did not go unnoticed. He's smart too. Janet Chino
I will have to say that MOST of those that showed up did not know what the heck they were protesting. Too much tax? Taxes rising? Not one of them makes $250,000 so their taxes will go down. Also it was an excuse to rally something so Republicans can have something going on. Hat, lies, racisism, red neck mentality and Oh Yes, GUNS.
We all need Assault weapons for what? Assault weapons are not a constitutional right.
I know some of those tea party folks and what I say is absolutely true for them. Including the crazy obsession with guns.
The fact that Beck and Hannity are spewing this crap is stoking the flames of ignorance and hate.
Shame on Fox news.
I wish I were younger, I am 83, I would parade daily for more tea parties, lets not forget what is happemimg
right now to us, Obama is in the process of insulting every good christion in The world. Anna L. Johnson
It is OK for americans to protest reckless spending, out of control government, and perceived tax inequities but the majority of signs we slurs against the President. It is OK to protest but personal attacks on the President really reflect on the ignorance of the participants and their supporters who allow this nonsense. How about a revolution to help our unemployed and homeless neighbors rather than spending millions of dollars on tea parties and tea bags (one million dumped tea bags in D. C. is not wasteful spending?). Right winger need to get their priorities in order.
Sorry Charlie!
I think you have the wrong contrast between the teaparties.
Yes, originally it protested taxation without representation.
Today, it protests representation without taxation.
More than half of tax filers will get money out of the federal tax system or pay none to it.
Should this majority, by vote, be able to take from this minority for their own gain?
Politicians have finally bought themselves a majority.
Thank God for FOX news. If it was not for Fox we would have no voice at all. The mistake however is not thinking it is an anti Obama, Pelosi, and Dem protest...deep down it is because those people represent everything wrong with America today. I know many Dems are going to tea parties but it is time for them to wake up and see that as long as their party is controlled by the far left, the country will decline more and more.Time for a true third party? If it would stand to remove Dems and Prepublicans, restore ownership of this country to the people, not to the politicians, and stop Washington corruption, then yes it is time. It is time that government works for us, not the other way around. It is time for people to do the right thing, not the most popular thing. It is time we take back our country....a REPUBLIC...NOT a democracy.

I want to thank Fox News for covering the Tea Parties. You have done more than the Government has done in the last 200 years to bring this country together.
Bret!
Did you get Susan Roesgen, the CNN "reporter" that said during a live broadcast at the Tea Party demonstrations "I think you get the general tenor of this. It's anti-government, anti-CNN since this is highly promoted by the right-wing conservative network Fox."? That should be on The Grapevine ... if not discussed by The Panel. And then there was apparently a sexual insult by another CNN anchor about the protesters.
This is why I'm making my semi-serious bid for the CEO post at CNN. www.RescueCNN.com Do I think I'll get the job? I think I have the same odds of winning the lottery ... and that might be still too optimistic. What I'm hoping is at least some discussion about political biases in the news is given. Fox is also biased but at least it is more honest about its biases than CNN or MSNBC. You also have more balanced panels (in addition to your show's The Panel) than either of those two. I rarely see a libertarian on CNN or MSNBC but I commonly see John Stossel, Wayne Root, and other noted libertarians on Fox shows.
What I find interesting and sad is how the tea parties have been disparaged by MSNBC and CNN. I just was watching MSNBC and the contempt they showed for the tea parties was obvious. They downplayed the number of people attending ("Only a small group of at most a couple hundred in the most major cities." as one said) and said it was funded by conservative groups and the Republican Party. That it wasn't a grassroots movement at all. Many times they showed empty fields but with the subtitle that they're showing a tea party. Yesterday, CNN was taking the same stance.
Also watched the "Live Chat" on MSNBC's website with David Gregory from Meet The Press. I asked what I thought were thoughtful respectful questions about political biases on MSNBC. None of my questions appeared. In fact, not a SINGLE question that challenged him, NBC news, Meet The Press, or MSNBC appeared. It was nothing other than a love fest. The "important" questions that "many people" were asking were such things as "How tall are you?" What a joke!
I ever so often given MSNBC and CNN a chance to see if things have changed. Sadly, they haven't.

I think it would be interesting to have a tax code that penalized citizens for not earning money.
