We broke this story on the grapevine last night... here it is:
"Following the Obama administration's release of the interrogation memos we told you about earlier -- National Intelligence Director Dennis released a copy of a letter to his colleagues in the intelligence community. But, the version on his office's web site did not have several important sentences contained in the actual letter. One reads quote, "High Value information came from interrogations in which those methods were used and provided a deeper understanding of the al Qaeda organization that was attacking this country." Another says -- "The leadership of the C-I-A repeatedly reported their activities both to Executive Branch policymakers and to members of Congress, and received permission to continue to use the techniques." And --"Even in 2009, there are organizations plotting to kill Americans using terror tactics, and although the memories of 9/11 are becoming more distant, we in the intelligence service must stop them." All of those sentences were MISSING from the letter that was posted on the DNI website. Of course, officials at the DNI told Fox that it is common, especially in the intell community, to send internal messages that are never meant to be public. A spokeswoman said, "We accurately state the Director's views and concerns and that's exactly what we did."
Now.. the letter also goes on to point out that the intell community cannot determine that this kind of intell could have been gathered WITHOUT using "enhanced interrogation techniques"... BUT.. the bigger point here is 1) there was a lot of talk about "politicizing intelligence" in the Bush administration.. but, why were these paragraphs left out of the public version of the letter? politics? 2) The fact that the Director of National Intelligence says that the interrogations provided valuable intell (other sources say it saved thousands of lives - and prevented other planned attacks) -- raises questions about what techniques WILL the administration approve if a suspected terrorist is apprehended and we believe that he/she has intell about an imminent attack in the US? There was supposed to be a study that was being compiled to look at this very topic.. but, it seems the administration is pretty much closing the door on whatever the blue ribbon "study" comes up with. So.. the interrogation debacle continues. Major Garrett will have an update on this story today.. Catherine Herridge tells us what we KNOW came from the interrogations.. Dems are bashing Bush constintly trying to poison the voters so he can get 4 more years in power.Obama is following a plan but it is one made and worked on by others for a long time just waiting for the right person like Obama.If he gets his civilion army that is as big as our regular army and as well trained and equiped and as well funded as he said into the tv camera there will be no more tea partys or any other mass gatherings. our country is in trouble and I belive it will get a lot worse. Some time the American people will have to stand up for America.
Not only do we have to boycott MSNBC, NBC and evergrowing stupity of CNN we will have to also boycott the dictorial relationships that are being created that attempt to dumb down the Patriotic citizens of this country. I am not only frightened, I am mad as hell and that becomes a combination that will energize conservative -radical redneck-teabagging bitches like me to go out and drum up votes to forever rid ourselves of the radical left. GE is also now on my "no buy list"-forever or until the shareholders of stock rid themselves of the loser.

Our government is going to destroy us. President Bush and our military kept us safe for all of those years and I do not care how they did it. Obama, Pelosi, and those people in their "mafia" are doing nothing for our country. You said today that "even though the majority of the people agree with him"?? Where do they come up with these polls? Everyone you talk to does not agree with them. This government has done nothing to help our nation in over two years-since the Democrats took over. They just want to "bring charges against any Republican". They do not listen to the people-they call us radical rednecks.

Obama has changed the term "terrorist attack" to "man caused disaster" along with several other phrases.
As far as water boarding, certain branches of our service personnel are water boarded during their training. If they ever try these men for what was done I feel it would be an injustice. I don’t believe in torture and don’t believe water boarding, intimidation by dogs or loud music should be considered as such. If performing these deeds would get information to save even one of our military personnel I say go for it. Torture is what was done to our soldiers during the Vietnam war, WWII, and in Somalia : broken arms, beatings, being shocked with electrical cords, etc.

DNI letter verses DNI website, yet they are not the same, and then staff protects administration with a bogus statement, “We accurately state the Director’s views and concerns and that’s exactly what we did.”, false of course because the two are not exact. Government in Washington wonder (maybe they don't) why Americans don't believe the words coming from their lips. Did the elected officials forget the saying; "Actions speak louder than words." I have a question for the administration Bret. If your family member was being held hostage, and you caught one of the hostage takers, would you do whatever it takes, to get the information about where your family is being held. Would you, administration, do whatever it takes to save your family? Of course they would. so my next question to them would be; Then why in the world do you not support CIA to do whatever they need to do to protect the American family. Also another question to the administration. Did you have any problem killing 3 men to save 1 American? But you have a problem with gathering intelligence to protect 300 million Americans.
