On Special Report, I just watched Mr. Obama say the following to Russian Pres. Medvedev: "There is no scenario from our perspective in which this missile defense system would provide any protection against a mighty Russian arsenal." What on earth?? He's saying that not only does our missile defense represent no offensive threat to Russia, it doesn't even represent a defensive threat. In other words, go ahead, fire at us at will - we won't even defend ourselves. Is there any other interpretation of what he said? Does he care at all about the defense of our nation? Does he care at all about the defense of our allies in Eastern Europe?

With this visit, Medvedev and Putin will have had a chance to size up President Obama. You should run a pool now on which former Soviet bloc nation they will move on next. I pick Estonia, or at least one of the Baltic states, whichever is weaker and most likely to be ignored by the Obama administration.
